The best way to prevent our youth from becoming
caught up in drugs or violence is to educate them
on how to keep it from happening. We hope to
educate the youth through anti-drug and life skills
(anti-violence) presentations, workshops and
seminars. During the workshops we will cover
such topics as self-esteem, self-respect, problem
solving, and the importance of staying in school.
As part of our prevention strategy, we will also use
print, audio and video media. All participants
involved in the program must attend the
workshops if they want to participate in the
recreation program (basketball league).
